Geeky Land Investing Tips
Due diligence is a critical process in the land business and the first three most crucial steps are:
  • Confirming ownership
  • Determining the back taxes owed
  • Checking if it has a clear title free of liens and encumbrances
First, and most importantly, you want to confirm that the seller actually owns the property—Which is the First Fatal Land Buying Mistake. You do so by contacting the county recorder to see if they are listed on the last recorded deed.
