T- Thoughts
“Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity: It must be produced and discharged and used up in order to exist at all.” —William Faulkner
I spoke about my new gratitude practice last week during a live Monday Meditations in the Mighty Networks group.
When I wake up, I pretend that I used to live in a slum in Mumbai. Now, I have this new incredibly luxurious lifestyle.
I woke up in a bed!
I have electricity!
I have indoor plumbing!
I have clean water!
I have a roof over my head to protect me from the elements!
I have all the world’s information in my pocket!
I can communicate with my loved ones just by tapping a pane of glass! Amazing!
I have fresh, healthy food at the ready!
I have my health and today as I write this I’m not feeling any aches or pain!
My family is healthy and relatively happy!
You get the idea… I can go and on.
What’s even more life-energizing about this point of view is I assume nothing will work. Everything should be broken.
The car shouldn’t start, the garage door should break. The appliances shouldn’t work, etc.
Then, on those very rare occasions when something inevitably does break I’m not even disappointed! I was expecting it. Instead, most of the day I’m elated that everything is working as it should!
We’re living in the safest, most abundant time in history. I feel so incredibly grateful to be alive and doing the things I love in life.
I hope you test out my gratitude practice and let me know how it feels!
I hope you’re recovering from a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
Thank you for being a valuable member of our Land Geek Community!

This Week on The Art of Passive Income...
On this week’s episode of The Art of Passive Income, Mark and Scott welcome serial investor and entrepreneur Jerome Maldonado to the show.
Episode Notes
Jerome Maldonado is a serial investor and entrepreneur. He started his professional journey in traditional businesses where he was first introduced to team building, sales techniques, and real estate concepts. In 1998, Jerome pioneered a new construction company which he took to seven figures, in less than one year. Understanding the simple concepts and benefits of leasing real estate, he purchased a multi-use retail and commercial property to house his business.
After years of hard work with minimal return, Jerome has built an eight-figure empire and has mentored people from around the world in sales, real estate, and business. Over the course of his career, Jerome has founded multiple highly successful businesses. Additionally, he is the founder of several other corporations and an investor and equity owner in several diverse companies and industries. Today, Jerome is excited to bring over 20 years of professional experience to the world’s business owners and entrepreneurs.
Listen in as they discuss:
  • Jerome’s real estate journey and his acquired success
  • Traditional companies that he owns and the ownership process
  • His biggest lesson or take away from buying a distressed asset and rebuilding it
  • Franchise real estate
And, more!
Jerome also shares with us the best advice he received from his parents.

Mark: My tip of the week is, for the longest time I never take my office-based work seriously, but a clean-inviting workspace makes all the difference. Now, I can’t wait to work. If you want to learn more just email Erik Peterson on how to get a perfect set-up, it’s amazing! Take a good hard look at your workspace, invest in it.
