T- Thoughts
“Most of the excuses I made…
- not enough time
- not enough money
- not enough knowledge
- not the right connections
…were just ways to avoid the real bottleneck: Not enough courage.
There was always a small step I could have taken—if I had the guts to take it.” James Clear
I try to show up each day with a mindset of curiosity, creating excellence and shipping my work. Done is better than perfect! That being said, I want to start taking a closer look at where I’m “playing small” in life.
What actions can I take that require more courage that will help my family, friends, and community?
Where do I fail to really open my heart to life? To truly work on what matters most to me? What am I most afraid of doing and can I do it anyway?
If you’re reading this digest you’re the kind of person that wants to improve their life! You’re looking for growth, to create more time for the most important things in your life and a sense of accomplishment!
To be in our Land Geek community takes courage. Even if you haven’t taken any action yet, just being exposed to what’s possible is most likely helping you build up your courage to take that next step in your life to accomplish the goals you truly want to accomplish with total courage and commitment.
Let me know how I can help you… Just email me at [email protected]
The opposite for courage is not cowardice, it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow. –Jim Hightower

On this week’s episode of The Art of Passive Income, Mark welcomes Real Estate Developer and Cash Flow Specialist, Shane Melanson to the show.
Episode Notes
On this week’s episode of The Art of Passive Income, Mark welcomes Real Estate Developer and Cash Flow Specialist, Shane Melanson to the show.
Shane Melanson is a Real Estate Investor, Author, and Cash Flow Specialist. He was introduced to commercial real estate by a mentor (now his father-in-law) who showed him a systematic way to invest in commercial real estate. This approach demonstrated how to raise millions from investors and how to put together the right teams to execute their business plans.
Over the years, Shane has been assisting many real estate investors to transform their lives and create enough passive income to replace their job. He has committed the last 10 years of his life to helping others discover commercial assets that suit their needs. Today, he specializes in helping professionals in Canada who are earning mid-6 figures convert their income into net worth by becoming owners of commercial properties. Shane is also the host of the Investing Advantage Podcast and the founder of Melanson Real Estate.
Listen in as they discuss:
  •  Shane’s journey to commercial real estate.
  • The difference between a good deal and a bad deal.
  •  Mistakes new real estate investors make in their first year.
  •  Shane’s outlook on switching from being opportunistic to more diligent and focused.
  •   Having your money work for you rather than working for your money.
  •  Assets that have a future in investment.

Mark: My tip is one of my favorite books, it is called Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives by David Eagleman. Basically, he writes 40 scenarios of what happens after you die. It’s really thought-provoking and really life-affirming. It’s really interesting. It’s like after you die, they see different versions of yourself, and they’re disappointed with you.
