T- Thoughts

When I first read Rich Dad Poor Dad in 2000 it opened my eyes to a completely new way of thinking about money, passive income and life. It literally gave me the courage to “go for it” and quit my miserable investment banking job. 
Looking back now at the long commutes, the corporate politics, the lack of control I knew I had to get out, but I had so much to lose.
I was going to lose a steady six figure income.
I was going to lose my health insurance.
I was going to lose virtue signaling to others that I was “successful” since I could tell people I was an Investment Banker. 
But most importantly I was going to lose my soul.
Luckily, I had worked long enough on my exit plan working the land business as a side hustle to break free of the corporate bondage
As proud as I am of taking the plunge and risked some mental anguish for my freedom today I’m so proud of our clients that have been able to follow in my footsteps.
When they call me and ask me if now is the right time to quit I almost always say yes as long as they have 6 months of savings for emergencies, etc.
The reason is they only see the benefits of the job and all the goodies they’ll be giving up. 
What they don’t account for is their energy and enthusiasm being laser focused on building their land business for themselves. When you have a burning desire and your family depends on you the intensity and focus upon which you commit to your work is literally night and day. 
Once I quit my job and had a full 8-10 hours to work my land investing business I was unstoppable. I had the time to look for other opportunities. I had the time to test different marketing strategies. I had time to meet other people in the business and learn from them.  
So yes, I lost some perceived security and health insurance, but I gained total freedom to work when I wanted, where I wanted and with whom I wanted. What are you afraid of losing? What can you do to position yourself to intelligently put yourself in a position of total freedom?

Caleb Guilliams is the founder and CEO of Better Wealth Solutions. This is a company that is committed to financial education and coaching for anyone interested in maximizing their financial status practically and effectively. He achieves this by using videos, books, blogs, and a podcast; keeping in line with his mission to, “Help people see and reach their highest potential.”
Caleb grew up in a small Wisconsin town with a typical childhood; doing chores, volunteering his help in and around his community, and hanging out with his peers. What sets Caleb apart from his peers was his unyielding devotion to learning about money and his fascination with how successful people became rich. This devotion led him to devour books about money and various financial strategies, like a man starved for days.
At the age of 17, he was offered a teller position at a local community bank. Approximately a year later, Caleb petitioned his employer for exposure to the investment aspects at the bank. To his exhilaration, he was promoted to assistant to the bank’s chief investment advisor. At only nineteen years old, still in college, Caleb was extended an offer by the bank’s CEO to take over the investment division. Nervous and thrilled, he accepted the offer, and instantly his quest to do the very best he could for his to-be clients started. As one in his early twenties who had completed his Bachelor’s in Business Finance, in three years at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, successful business owner, podcaster, mentor, and speaker, Caleb success shows that all it takes is focus and determination to become a success story.
